YM/YW with leaders and parents, distribute to all homes within ward boundaries (not just members). Please do not put door hangers in mailboxes. All are welcome to donate! The door hangers invite non-perishable food donations, with a reminder not to donate expired food. There is also a QR code on the door hangers to donate online directly to the Utah Food Bank

Saturday, March 16, beginning at 9 am

YM/YW, their adult leaders, and parents to safely collect food donations left outside donors’ homes within their ward boundaries, and sort/consolidate into larger vehicles and trailers to minimize the number of vehicles going to drop off sites. Deliver to the drop off site nearest to your Stake. (Stake RS Pres to identify closest drop off site, and make sure all wards know where it is. Go to www.UtahFoodBank.org/FeedUtah for updates on drop off locations). This year, drop-off sites will include Utah Food Bank’s warehouses in Salt Lake City, Springville, Blanding, and St. George.  Macey’s and Lin’s grocery stores are participating food bank partners and will also be accepting donations, along with additional participating food pantries.

JustServe

Please help serve at designated drop off sites by going to www.JustServe.org early in February and no later than March 14, to sign up to volunteer on Saturday, March 16.  You can also sign up on your phone so you receive reminders, to follow this process see this tutorial . Volunteers will be needed beginning at 8:00 am on Saturday, March 16, preparing multiple drop off lanes and totes at drop off sites, receiving and sorting donations.  If you sign up for this service opportunity please dress appropriately for the work and the weather. Closed toe shoes are required. At busy sites there may be two shifts (3 hours in duration). Utah Food Bank will post the JustServe link on their website www.UtahFoodBank.org/FeedUtah to find the closest site near to you, that still needs volunteers. Fulltime missionaries may participate in this service, as directed by their Mission President
